The Commonwealth Centers for High-Performance Organizations announces its 2005 CCHPO Network Organizational Performance Improvement Conference being held in San Diego, CA this November 15-17, 2005 with pre- and post-conference sessions. The conference will be co-sponsored this year by the Federal Executive Institute (OPM) and the University of Virgina, Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service

The conference is being held for the first time on the West Coast and is located at the Marriott Resorts Coronado Island Hotel. A limited number of rooms are avaialbe at the government per diem conference rate (25% above the normal per diem rate for those attending the confernce and staying at the Marriott Hotel).  San Diego is easily accessible from Coronado via a 7-minute hotel water taxi and normal ferry service. Coronado offers terrific walking areas and a great view of San Diego as well as convenient access to a variety of beaches and activities. Airfares into San Diego are often cheaper than flying up and down the East Coast. Los Angeles International (LAX) is often cheaper and is only a two hour drive south to San Diego.

Conference rates are:

Tuesday-Thursday Conference- Normal August 31 through November 11, 2005  $1200

Two day rate$850

On-Site Registration$1300

Pre-conference and Post-Conference  4-hour Sessions- $175 Each (Note presenters are entitled to attend one session at no cost, but must pre-register for that session)

Note: there will be a 3-hour dinner cruise around San Diego Harbor for attendees on the Hornblower; spouses are welcome to attend the cruise for an additional $100 (notify Jody when registering).

Register for the conference and the Coronado Marriott at http://www.brandesmeetings.com/CCHPO.html with Jody Brandes (jody@brandesmeetings.com) who will be this year's conference planner.  Registration includes one dinner, three lunches, three light breakfasts and breaks along with the Tuesday evening three hour dinner cruise around San Diego.
